So when Chris and I first started talking he was ecstatic as he bought himself a big present. His SLK 350 AMG straight from the factory in Stuttgart, Germany. Let me tell you it is a beauty. Here are the first pics he ever sent me aside from what was on Myspace. Isn't it/he good looking!
Well, yesterday marked a new chapter in Chris and my life as we prepare for our role as a family. We traded in the Benz for a 2008 Ford Edge. Let me tell you Chris was great in orchestrating the deal and keeping his feelings out of it. I on the other hand was my typical crab self (getting better) and was sad. Sad because we were giving up a beautiful luxurious car. Sad because I know the car represented a gift/proud of yourself gesture after Chris returned from Iraq. Sad because Chris was being selfless and giving up his dream car. All that said, I cleaned the car out took some pictures in typical Vanessa fashion and proceeded to show off my new baby. BTW, Chris said "Why would I be sad? I love my wife, can't wait to have a family and have two dogs that I love and that is what this car is!" SUCH A GREAT HUSBAND MAN AND FATHER! Enjoy the pics and welcome to the "ride" of our lives! hahaha! I'm so funny!

Aw man, I was supposed to get a ride in that car! :-) ha ha Congrats on the new one though!! In the end riding in the new one with two big labs and two lovely friends would be more fun anyway! :)
