A busy month

Well, the time came and I hung up my reins at SWA. After 8 years I must say I look back fondly on all the opportunities experiences and lessons I learned. I wrapped up my last week working in BOS to celebrate the inauguration of our new service. It was a fun trip and mom and Vera assisted me and volunteered one last time too. What a great trip. Tiring but fun. The last day in BOS we headed to Newport, RI and what a beautiful place it was. Gorgeous mansions, charming seaside shopping, and colonial architecture. We were unable to stay for a long time so I will definitely need to make a trip back. =)

So back to SWA. I left the big D on Friday and had a huge headache and stomach ache to accompany me. Just nerves and emotion. All is better now and I am loving the weather in our new home. Still getting used to my free time, but the dogs and home improvement are keeping me busy.

After being home for 7 days Chris and I headed to SJC to visit Cassie and Dustin. We played in the city, ate delicious sushi at Zushi Puzzle, drank way too much almond champagne, and toured Stanford. It was a relaxing fun getaway. Thank goodness for mom and Vera. They puppysat and worked on some home improvement projects while we were out. I convinced them to stay on a week extra and Adam and Carol Ann came out to help "finish" the basement. We have 1 1/2 walls down and still have 1 1/2 more too go. I also installed two fans and a chandaleir on my own. Just call me contractor girl. I was very proud of myself and am now wondering if I should change professions. hahaha!

Well, I am off to relax and will check back in soon.
