I know I know...it has been a while since we were last on. I have been preoccupied with other things and adjusting to a stay at home schedule. Here are a few highlights and I will come back later and photos for your enjoyment....
In September, I applied for a Master's of Arts in Teaching at USC and got accepted. I have been in school for a month and will graduate next summer. I take my certification test in November and will start student teaching next fall. Crazy!
Chris ran the Chicago marathon with Chad and Mark. All finished under 5 hours and enjoyed the flat terrain. Thank goodness Marcy told Chris about the hill at the end.
It has snowed 3 times in the last 3 weeks. 2x before mom and dad came to visit and last night (big snow).
Chris surprised me with a late honeymoon and we went to Costa Rica for a week. Played in La Fortuna (canopy tour, volcano hike at Arenal, and a dip in the hot springs), Manuel Antonio (stayed at La Mariposa and went on catamaran that allowed us to snorkel, see humpback whales up close and mating turtles, and a horse ride on the beach in Palo Seco), and back to San Jose for a nice stay at Finca Rosa Blanca (we stayed in Piedras and overlooked the coffee plantation). Oh and I forgot to tell you we are going to be on the website and brochure for Mountain Paradise Hotel in La Fortuna. Such the models.
See - we have been busy. Oh and I forgot that I went to Austin and helped Mel wiht Abby's first birthday party. She made a beautiful cake and showed off her new home. All fun. Check out frostingaustin.com for more on her work.
Other than that we have been hanging with our new friends in Colorado and house sitting for neighbors. Lil' Kim comes in a month. Twilight mania baby. We are going skiing this Sunday (hopefully). Well, that is all for now. I am out to walk the boys in the snow and have to write one more paper to wrap up my Framing Course.
